Thanks to the Residents’ Committee we now have some funding on a regular basis for new books. The new purchases have been put at the back of the Library on the shelf labelled “New Acquisitions”. These books are labelled inside acknowledging the help of the Residents’ Committee.
We have also had some donations of new books read by residents, for which we are most grateful. If donating books, we would prefer residents to put them in a bag labelled ‘Donations’ and your name (if you wish) and pop them into the Returns Box. Again these books are labelled inside as donations and put up the back.
Our library is very well used. In June we had 396 borrowings. We would request all borrowers to sign the books, etc in and out in the register and please put the returns (or donations) in the returns box.
Any good seconds of books go to the library in the Old Clubhouse. These can be borrowed but also do not have to be returned if required for a holiday, etc.
