Bus Booking Reminder

Please remember when booking a bus trip

  1. Only put your name down if you are sure you are going, and pay your $5.00 at the same time.
  2. If you put your name down and don’t go, you will forfeit your money if you do not give sufficient notice for someone else to take your place.
  3. You don’t have a seat on the bus until you pay, as you are stopping someone else going.
  4. We have to be fair to everyone, giving all a chance to enjoy a bus outing and some exciting ones are coming up.

Thank you from the Social Committee – looking forward to enjoying more events

This is Important! Please read.

If you put your Yellow Bin out on Sunday night, was it full? Did you have anything in it that shouldn’t have been there?

Please remember that we are charged for every individual bin pickup/empty, so if you think your bin won’t be full until the next pickup, please consider keeping it back for another fortnight. If you’ve never looked at the Recycle Right page on the blog, it’s loaded with information about how you can be a great recycler! Check it out now: https://palmlakeresidents.com/recycle-right/

It’s easy to be confused about what should and shouldn’t go into the Yellow Bins and many people still think it’s OK to put plastic bags and soft plastics into them! Remember to remove all lids from bottles and jars and if the lid is smaller than 10cm in diameter, put it in the Red Bin. H

Reminder -Monthly Chinderah Golf Trip

A group from Palm Lake Ballina has been playing golf monthly at Chinderah course for over 15 years.  The round is held on the last Friday of each month (except December) with players usually travelling up by bus. Private car transport is available while the buses are out of commission.  It’s a fun morning, leaving Palm Lake at 7.45 am, usually back around 3pm, with lunch at Chinderah tavern. Cost is only $25 including green fees and electric cart hire. The course is short, walking minimal and not to be taken too seriously. If you are interested in joining us, or need more information contact Steve Fleming ( Villa 259) or on 0419160293.
